Days #21 - 24

I am back with more photos for P365!

Day #21 - Scrap Embellishments! Yummy!

This is what we have picked out to decorate my daughter's Valentine's Day Mailbox that we will be decorating in the next few weeks. The mailbox was purchased online and was manufactured by Creative Imaginations. It is awesome!!! I will post a photo once we have it decorated. We're still trying to find the perfect papers to match. Not sure if they will be digital papers, or papers from my stash of 10,000 sheets of patterned paper... we'll find something!

Day #22 - A visit to my daughter's school!

It was fun to pick my daughter up on this day, as we were able to work on a project together in her classroom.

Then we went to the art room and her art teacher allowed her to pull out her "portrait tile" that all of the 5th graders make. The tiles will be hung on the walls throughout the school even after they move on to 6th grade. They line the walls throughout the entire school and they're so beautiful. Cori had just started sculpting her tile on this day. It will be painted next week and I am excited to see the final results!

Day #23 - Off to the bookstore again!

My daughter has continued to ask me if she could read the Twilight book. I wasn't so sure it was appropriate for her age. She's 11 and I thought perhaps in a year or so she'd be "old enough"...However, after speaking to her teacher, he said it was actually approved reading material for the 5th graders and 3 or 4 of the students were currently reading it. Cori was so excited when we pulled into the bookstore parking lot on the way home from school. She didn't know we were going to get her the book. She's been glued to it!!

Day #24 - A 40 degree drop in temperature!!

Wow! It was literally 70 degrees yesterday and now it is only 39 degrees! Brrrrr..... I just love Colorado.

In this photo, also day #24, I tried to use my zoom feature to see if I could get a clear shot of the mountains. After a few clicks and some changing of settings, I was happy with the way this photo came out. I don't think I was in the greatest spot to take the photo...there are some roads that are higher than others where you can get a really great shot, but I did the best I could with where I was at the time. I am sure I will have multiple shots of our mountain view throughout the year. Each day the mountains can look soooo different depending on the weather, time of day, and/or where you're at when you snap the photo. I think the mountains are so beautiful! Once I learn more about my camera and its settings, I hope to get a shot worthy of framing. That is a lofty goal, as I am certainly no "Photographer!" So we'll see how that goes!

I'll be back again in a day or....four! Thanks for stopping by!
